Basically you have to take the nosecone off the front of the transmission.
I'm not sure I see a way to get the transmission far enough back without
disconnecting the axles from the spring plates.

Guys,

Bringing this up again. I think the old one got lost in the spam filter.
What did we decide about this job being done while the tranny is still
somewhat in the car? I got the correct part this weekend and I want it in.

I want to drop the engine and swap out the hockey stick by loosening the
tranny and pulling it forward. Is this even possible? I am trying to save
myself a full engine and tranny drop. The engine drop is cake.

Thoughts?
