[T3] N.O.S. Mufflers with loose upper heat exchangers

You can  make suitable subs for the copper seals by cutting up the 
diamond-shaped  exhaust port gaskets. I stock complete muffler 
installation  kits.
 
Russ recommended using thermocouples (old or new) with the ends cut on a  
taper to fit and squish into each other. According to him, a hot water heater 
 thermocouple is plenty long enough to do 1 muffler. Just a reminder for  
those looking for a cheaper/easier to find solution. ;-)
