[T3] DOT 5 and brake light switches

Some time ago, someone on this list mentioned that they had converted 
their bulbs to LEDs. If this included the brake lights, I wonder if 
they made the brake light switches more OR less reliable.

There's an odd thing about tungsten light bulbs: They have a turn-on 
surge that can be as much as 10x the steady state current. This fact 
is often overlooked and may explain why the modern switches fail.
