[T3] MPS testing and leakage

So for anyone who’s wondering, here’s a video of how much air leaks out of a modified (no epoxy) A/B MPS with vacuum applied. You can quite clearly see and hear the hiss of air leaking out and can reference the needle on the vac gauge while it’s happening. Simply putting a thumb over the end makes a huge difference! I imagine the same thing applies to the later sensors too, though I have no familiarity with those.
For some reason, when I uploaded the video to You Tube, the sound was very very gritty. On Vimeo, it’s only gritty when the air is escaping the MPS. For the record, that’s not what it actually sounds like, that’s just how Vimeo has encoded my video. Here it is:
Jim….perhaps the caps you suggest will help here? While the tape I’m using has been working, I’d like something a bit more elegant. I just worry that if there could be too much space between the screw and the vinyl cap and that the sensor would’t work correctly until the vinyl cap collapsed or was “sucked" onto the screw and that would only happen under certain vacuum conditions. Of course I’m saying this without having seen the caps so maybe my concern is irrelevant.
