[T3] do the late 73 T-3 fuel injected distributors have the timing retard ?

Does anyone have empirical  data?
To be honest, I don't know. I've personally burned/snapped the head  off #4 
exhaust valve twice, but that was in a bug both times. Supposedly #3 was  
the exhaust valve to watch on all VW engines (t-1 / 3 style). On a t-4 
engine, I  have no idea which one you were supposed to watch.
