I forget which direction, but moving them to one side is supposed to
make thing smoother, but with a stock engine its negligible.

I other question. On the trigger points , They are Bosch yet when I removed
them to lube the cam they ride on I noticed that I could slide the trigger
assembly side to side a bit before I had the 2 screws tight . I remembered
this when I got them and never paid any attention to the older sets at that
time. I didn't measure how much they could be slide guessing at most 1/16"
either way . I moved them CCW since the dist turns CW with the thought that
they would function a bit more advanced .I do recall setting them the same
way when I got them .
Has anyone noticed this ? Is it possible in doing this it alters the
trigger timing enough to cause the no load idle issue I have? I realize the
base timing alone will alter the trigger timing . It's not that the 2 holes
on the trigger set are slotted just a bit larger that the 2 screws which
secure it.
