[T3] Alignment Questions

Don't forget toe also. Camber and Toe are the ones that will cause wear if not set properly. Caster affects how the steering returns to center.
Example are the wheels on a grocery cart that pivot.

You want caster over 2, but if its over 1 degree your probably OK.
dont worry too much about caster its the camber that needs to be right for tracking and tire wear.

Subject: [T3] Alignment Questions

So I got a 4 wheel alignment the other day and while the car drives really well, the before and after data on the spec sheet is a little out of whack.
The front camber adjustment was off and they set it to .3* on both sides but it's supposed to be 1* 20' +/- 20'. The explanation I got was that .3* was a compromise adjustment on account of wear in the torsion arms. It was also the only way they could get the caster equal on both sides. I know that caster isn't independently adjustable on our front ends and I'm not sure if it specifically matters at all or if it should just fall where it will after the camber is adjusted.

FWIW, I've never had a satisfactory alignment on either of our ACVW's..there's always something off or some compromise. In any case, I've attached a link to a pic of the before/after print out. I went over some of the numbers with pen because they were too pale to photograph well.

Any thoughts? We're setting off on a cross-country journey in a few days and I don't want to wear out our tires after 500 miles!!
