[T3] Wipers

The current job on the new fasty is to install a shift-rod bushing. After that I must attack the wiring. 

And since I will be under the dash, it is also the right time to think about the wiper mechanisms. 

One of the better mods I've done to other cars was to replace the smooth wiper shaft setup with later splined shafts.

So ... what year did type-3s go to splined wiper shafts? Would a later setup fit in my 67s cowl?
