Hi Dave,
Yes, it appears I might have to be a "Mr Gadget Man" to do this job of plug removal.
Luckily I have two VW "Tommy Bars" however found these a little bit too big for my hands! I'll stick to the 3/8 & 1/4 inch drive socket set up.
I have found that fitting the spark plug to an old 3" piece of fuel hose then feeding it into the head to start the thread a most effected way locating the plug.
I'll look at changing the connectors next plug refit, might make life a lot easier!
