[T3] Bad day at the (FI) office

Jim,

I have the other B unit you sent me as well as an A I bought a few years ago. I can try both tomorrow after work and I like the method you suggested.

Today was peculiar. In the morning, it did the usual high-ish rich idle (as if the warm up enrichment didn’t fully stop) all the way to work. After work, after a few blocks it was hunting at idle and spiking really lean under acceleration. In the morning, the idle AFR was never higher than 12 but in the afternoon it was as high as 17. The only difference was the external temperature. In the AM it was about 48* and in the PM it was close to 70*. I know the system shouldn’t be that sensitive to external temperature, yet the only difference between morning and afternoon was the temperature. Unless someone broke into the car and reset the MPS adjustment?!?!?! Other than the two temp sensors, what else could contribute to such an effect?

This is really starting to drive me a bit crazy!

Daniel
