Yes I know most people prefer the pre-71 steering wheel and may want to
keep it original so I worked hard to do that. My FLAPS just could't get
the switches for that column said he hasn't been able to get them for 20
years. Anyway I didn't have time to locate them some where else so I
done this since I had an extra 72 column left over from the Clementine
restoration. I'm kind of the odd ball on these steering wheels. I always
like the 4 spoke steering wheel I suppose because that's what I was most
use to seeing growing up with one with of these types. As a child if I
saw another t-3 or beetle with a 2 spoke I thought it looked like a
grandfather's steering wheel. Now that I have a grandson myself that's
not as bad of a thing anymore. There is a guy in my town who is planing
on bidding on this. If he gets it he wants me to help him finish the
restoration of the car. We will probably be calling on you some during
this if he gets the bid. It will be neat in a small town like mine to
have two t-3 running around in it. Although when Marion gets his house
done he will be a couple of small towns over from me there will be
another one running around here and he will be country fellow like me.
