I agree its YouTube the haters love to post and I have to give the guy credit in getting it running. He does cool work on small engines and such watch some of his other videos.  I know this is quite a rust bucket he has but looks like he would rather save it than dispose of it in my opinion that's a good thing.

All that's correct, but at least let's give the mechanic credit for finding the fuel pump relay, testing the injector outputs, and eventually getting the engine running. He seemed to be a good troubleshooter, without knowing much of anything about D-jet FI.

The misinfo seems to be mostly concentrated in the comments, which seems to have attracted mostly VW haters and poster children for "a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing."
