I didn't know X engines were 72 only . I thought they were just the latest . 
Mine is a calif car and had the EGR . I imagine a car built in 73 does not 
mean the engine was made in 73 . The 72 case I used as well as heads is a U 
5033105 the X is X001 0758. The U didn't have the EGR .
