I did a quick search on ebay last night and came up with several 
suitable Elfrink books, some were quite reasonably priced.

I've never thought much of the Clymer manuals. They're just too 
superficial and they don't seem to know many of the differences 
between Type 3s and Beetles. The brown Bently manual is the one 
everyone should own, but Elfrink goes into more detail on FI.
