It appears that later Bosch replacement injectors have very slightly 
thinner male connector blades, making bad connections there common. I 
can't imagine why Bosch did this, but I'm not the only one who has 
measured the difference.

The only purpose of wiggling is to see if the female connector is 
tight on the male part. If those pins are contained in a plastic 
connector body you really can't tell anything. You have to take the 
connector apart and fix it as Phil described.
