[T3] rear hatch/hinge issue

Jim, 

I have the specs for the VW 709 tool (Torsion Bar Tensioning Tool) in this document. It’s the second tool down the list. Do you think you could make that or is it too elaborate?

I bought a long screwdriver from Harbor Freight but don’t really have to tools required to bend it up. I know you caution against using the wrong tool for the job, but we’re kind of in a rush b/c the next rainy day we have the back will get flooded. Such is life parking on the street. The hatch is maybe a half inch off being flush and correct with the problematic hinge disconnected from the hatch and a rubber mallet wedged in the hinge to prevent it from snapping forwards and pushing the hatch back out.
