Yes, start at one side and work your way to the other. I believe I got it started
with a screwdriver, but then used my Channellocks to work my way across.

It's possible that you could repair yours, but your problem is that your old
mat has become stiff and hard. If you fix where it is broken now, it may just
break somewhere else the next time you bend it.
ISP made repops, but they were only in black. The OE mats came in several
colors, including black. I think most of the colored OE mats were black
rubber with a colored topcoat. At one time I looked into getting a black one
colored, but the people I contacted didn't think their process would work on
rubber.
