I suppose the Type 3 beam isn't destroyed if you use a modified Type 1 beam.
That's handy!

I was expecting the components from the beam on my previous well-cared for
'71 would have been fine, but the bushes and ends were found to be badly
worn, and no good as spares.  You can't always rely on regular greasing to
keep things perfect!

Jim, you missed his point.  He wants to lower the car.  Probably to the
point of slammed.  The t3 beam has its limits before you lose clearance via
design.  The new t1 beam conversions account for the t3 to t1 adaptation.
The parts availability issue is mute when you are going that low.
