Guess it depends on if you mount them proper or not. Mine has lasted quite a long time.
Mine only failed where I had rewelded it from making a mod so I chuck it up to my poor welding skills 😉

They work for about 2000 miles, before the muffler breaks off the manifold.

Have you looked at Gene Berg? I know he does large exhausts, but he may not have one for the Type 3 since you've exceeded the size limits he recommends for us.
