[T3] Type 4 engines

Cores are easy to come by. Bearings are a different story. Some of the oversize ones are tough to find.

The 914 2.0 uses different heads than the bus 2.0.

I agree on the t4s. If you are going to go to all the expense and work going with that go big or go home. I had a friend when I went to technical college who had a 914 with a 1.7 and I could beat him in a drag race with Clementine back when I had a 1641 in her. Seems like a 2.0 would be more common since they put them in buses from 75 on and the first two years they made Vanagons and I think the last 2 years for the 914. I know a guy locally that has an 80 Vanagon that the whole front of the van burned but the engine is untouched. The guy has a Westfalia vanagon diesel and he got the burnt one for parts but realized that not many of the good parts on it was usefully for his westfalia. Maybe I need to check on him again to see if he still has it.
