[T3] Time for an engine

Would be great to get some pictures of the engine torn down and see what ware looks like on a high mileage engine like this.

Hothe has been lax on the hills for a while, and was a bit winded on the way home

so before doing its tuneup and getting another case of oil I did a compression test.

 

all were 110 but #2 was at 60psi!  squirted some oil in there and got it up to 80 but it 

looks like at 165Kmi this engine is finally done.

 

I did say that if it got me to the invasion and home it owed me nothing...

 

This is the motor that has one of the last sets of heads that Russ did, just before the 2010 invasion, he got them done in time so that I could go!

 

and I wondered at the time weather I was putting alot of money and time into and old motor that didnt have much left

but somehow Russ' spirit got in there too as Thats the only thing I can imagine that made this last so long and boy did I 

get my value out of those heads, that was 55K mi ago!

 

All things must come to an end someday and now its time to get the T4 motor back out, prepped and well... I know what Ill be doing 

for a while!  

 

I guess its T4 power to the next invasion... and clean windshields behind me!  :-)
