The only wire connections I've ever seen need attention are the ones directly 
on the injectors. That seems to be because the pins on replacement injectors 
are actually thinner than the originals.

That sensor originally came with a copper sealing washer under it. Is that 
washer still there? If it's missing, it's possible that water can get in there and 
cause corrosion which insulates the sensor from the head. I've not seen that 
problem, but I usually find the copper washer in place.

I have a 13 mm tube socket wrench that I use, but your solution is great.
