[T3] Fuel Primer.Switch..

I know Jim disagree's but ive had 2 pressure regulators
fail to regulate pressure, and when I replaced the last one the replacement
regulated properly but would not hold pressure after shutoff, thats when the
key priming began. When the T4 motor went in it had its own regulator and
that holds pressure fine, and it starts right up every time.

if your pump AND pressure regulator will hold the pressure up after
shutoff, it should start just fine. Stick a gauge on it to see whats
happening, the pressure regulators are the same on ALL D jet and available
everywhere and cheap, the pumps, not so much but Jim gave me a back flow
valve years ago that worked perfectly when the pumps valve didnt. This also

firmed up the fuel pressure so its rock steady now, something that is
important when doing advanced Tuning on D jet.

How about a loss of elasticity in the old hose, leading to "micro"
leaks at the connections?

OTOH, I've never found replacing the hose to cure the problem. But
different kinds of hose could have different amounts of permeability.
