AT is great for heavy traffic, otherwise, Where's the fun?

I believe a large part of it is laziness. People don't want to shift for
themselves, when they can buy a car that does it for them.
Personally, I like it like that, as I know my MT car will still be right 
where I parked it (theft prevention). I have an equal number of both 
AT cars, and MT cars here.

Why dont more of us in the US drive standard tranny's?
Dave makes good points.  Ill stick with the Sqauare, but keep it out of 
washington DC traffic nowadays.
