My blades are 13 ½” the metal part and the rubber is 13” I guess that makes mine 13” . It has the stock windscreen seal yet even so with the blades up there is 1” before they hit the seal.

Some aftermarket windshield seals WERE wider than others.
I too use the 14" for the same reason.

center to the end of the blade is 19 5/16" and there is 1 inch end of blade
to top of glass or end of seal . I think 15" blades would hit the rubber
seal , 14" might work . Perhaps that's why Dave Pallo had a problem .]]]

This discussion prompted me to go out and look at Elwood, which is a April
1972 build. He is winter storage, which means he's covered up, 10 feet up in
the air, and no battery to initiate wiper travel - but I was able climb up
and measure the passenger side wiper. His wipers are the all metal silver
arms and nuts, and the passenger arm measures the same 12 13/16" in length.
(It is too risky for me to try and measure the drivers side arm right now.)
The blades are 14" (rubber prolly closer to 13.750" in reality). Jim has a
great memory - the 15" wipers did hit the windshield rubber seal and the 14"
wipers do not.

Maybe another factor here is I installed the windshield with an aftermarket
seal. I used the correct seal with the provisions for the chrome accent trim
all around the seal, and I wonder if the aftermarket seals may be a ~little~
wider that what the factory used? I don't know, but I thought I'd throw that
into the equation.
