[T3] Transmission differences

The nose cone is different due to the mount changing.
Some mounts are of the 2 bolt style, while some are 2
or 3 stud style. My 73 super bug nose cone used 3 studs,
while my 70 T-3 trans nose cone used 2 studs.

I am not sure how the nose cone is different but I do believe the hockey stick is drilled for the index locking pin (Grubs crew) on the opposite side mostly because it its accessed from the bottom. After the reply to my question I remembered a conversation about the indexing part.

Once I drop my trans I am sure I will see the differences on the nose cone. Maybe its how it bolts to the mount.

Can you explain how the nose cones are different? I've been told by many reputable sources that the nose cones are the same as type 1 and only the hockey stick is different.  But I've read differently on the samba and now here so am very curious.
