[T3] Tornados in Alabama

Peg and I are flattered that we have had three inquires from out of town
friends about our well being as it relates to the tornados. Two of the
three have been from Type 3 folks. It goes to show what a nice group of
people they are.

Peg has a nephew who lives in Auburn, AL near the tornado but he was not
affected. We have had one brush with a tornado since we moved here in 2016.
Our home was being built at the time and the niece of our home builder was
one of the three fatalities in that one in a town about fifteen miles away.
A high school classmate of Peg's sister was also killed in a tornado near
here a few years before that. Needless to say, the inclusion of a concrete
safe room in our basement was in the plans when we built our house.

Dave and Ann and also Dave and Gail Pallo, we appreciate your concern.

I've not seen any Type 3 posts for a while, but I hope that Marion and Peg,
and Dennis haven't been affected by the Tornadoes. A couple of weeks before
the Hershey Invasion in 2004, one came through the area we had accommodation
booked. Luckily it missed the house, but there were empty concrete rafts
where houses had stood, and plenty of debris around. The dehumidifier was
working over-time, too. It brought home to us how destructive tordadoes can
be.
