Yes, but those are ordinary galvanized mild steel, and did you look at the 
PRICE? A 1 meter length of the banding for the heat exchangers is more 
than $10! The buckles are cheap by comparison, and they are reusable (as 
are our originals.) I'm guessing that I can get a local sheet metal shop to do 
the bands in stainless for MUCH less than $10 each.

Plus the fact that 1 meter lengths will leave a lot of scrap, as that's maybe 
50% more than it takes to make one band around a heat exchanger but not 
enough to do 2 bands. (Each band goes around the HE twice.)

I thought of buying the 30 meter roll of banding, but that only brings the price 
down to a bit more than $4 per meter, and I'll probably never sell that much. 
AND, it's still going to rust away eventually.
