Hello fellow Type 3ers,

I trust that most of you have been staying home and practicing social
distancing. Stay well. This may be a good time to work on some of the VW
maintenance that you've been putting off.

Since most of the Type 3 work that I do for other people comes here by mail,
that work continues, but I recently got a d-jet FI fuel pump to rebuilt that
reminded me that I need to remind people that not all parts can be saved for
later by just laying them aside for another day.

So I just put a post on thesamba, with photos to show the consequesces of
wet storage. View at your own risk. ;-)

If you have parts that had fluid in them, but you think they might be useful
later, rebuild them yourself, or send them to me to rebuild. If you let them lay
around for a year or so, they are likely to be junk by the time you need them.
