Subject: [T3] Cartooned Type 3 Models

If you follow any of the Type 3 Groups on Facebook or follow me, you may
have seen the small cartooned Type 3 models I am casting. I started this
out as something fun for the auction at the Invasion, but there was enough
interest that I made a bunch of them. 18 sets of four to be exact. Well I
am still going to keep 3 sets....one set for me, one set to be auctioned off
as a set at the Invasion and one set to be auctioned off individually at the
Invasion.

That leaves 15 sets for this initial batch. I am going to offer them up for
$25 each or $90 for a set of four....shipping included in the lower 48. I
am willing to break up the sets. I have ordered small boxes for shipping.
I can custom paint them to match your car for an additional $25 each.

I will ship overseas, but obviously the shipping will be more and I will
work with you on the final price for those orders.

The molds have held up well, so I could order more material for another
batch. I will see how this one sells. It is $100 for a gallon kit of
materials, so I am not going to order materials unless there is demand. The
gallon kit should make another 30 sets or so...assuming the molds hold up
that long. The second batch will all be molded in white as it is a little
easier to work with and get the air bubbles out.

Please keep in mind that these are hand cast in silicone molds with lots of
undercuts and such. They all have minor defects due to trapped air bubbles.
They are not perfect...they have "character". <G> As a result, some will be
missing their outside mirrors or have small voids in the bumpers.

These are slightly bigger than a HotWheels car. I have included one picture
for size reference. Here are some links to pictures of them.

If you are interested in getting one or more, please e-mail at
john at carartbyjohn.com and let me know how many of which body style and a
color preference. White are obviously very limited for this batch. First
come, first serve. I will respond with a total price and payment details.

If you want them custom painted, let me know and I will work with you to get
reference pictures and colors and such. These will take longer to get to
you.

Posting on Facebook or the Samba will not get you a set. I need to get an
e-mail from you. Thanks.

Later,
John Jaranson
