You can certainly find something from the electronics world that will keep the 
line from chafing, but the OE parts also seal around the tube, so they also 
keep water out. Maybe use some standard electronic grommets plus some 
caulk to seal around the tube.

To be fair, by the time you cut OE grommets to get them over the line nuts, 
you'll want to seal them with something anyway.
