Certainly my Turquoise metallic 1972 Fastback and 1973 Alaska blue metallic
were just plain colours that matched the body, but I would guess the silver
metallic would be a light grey for that.

Ahh, so the Silver Metallic fender welting was, Grey?
was there actually a silver metallic welting or did they use one of the
existing grey's?

Ill have to dig and see if I can find one of the old original pieces.

Yes, in colour, but not the metallic content if it was a metallic paint (not
generally supplied in USA).
