You put it into car by using different lines to create the 2D sketch that you want and dimensioning it and then you “extrude” the parts to make them 3D and you can sketch off of parts and keep adding to it. You choose planes to sketch on, there are different planes like X, Y, and Z. There are many tools you can use to refine the CAD models. That is a brief summary and it can get very in depth. 

I put the parts into CAD today. I created a thread of the parts and I may add other parts I decided to CAD on the list.
