As far as I know, any air leaks after the throttle blade are detrimental. Those before it are seen by the MPS and are corrected for by it. Places to look with a smoke machine would be the 4 rubber connecting tubes, the "front" plate on the plenum, and where the air tubes join at the heads and injectors (o-rings).Bob 65 Notch S with sunroof

Subject: [T3] Vacuum questions

I have a 71 Fasty FI auto. I have a question about the vacuum requirements for this engine to run correctly. I understand that having the correct vacuum is important and that air leaks in the system interfere with that. My question is where in the system are air leaks critical. Is it important from the oilbath air breather to the throttle flap that there be no air leaks? If I was to make a smoke machine to introduce smoke into the system would I attach it to the end of the oil breather or maybe remove it and attach to the throttle body? I hope this makes some sense. Thanks Tom
