2 A will not be enough. I find that they draw 3-4 A at 3000 RPM and 14 VDC input. It's odd

The 250 V rating will probaby be okay for awhile, especially if that's 250 VAC, unless you 
switch it with the engine running. I'd change to a full sized toggle switch.
