I've seen no sign of wearing out in any of our fuel injectors. The hoses age 
and need to be replaced, but that's a LOT cheaper than buying new 
injectors.

Injectors which have been allowed to dry out may leak because the O-rings 
in them have shrunk. Sometimes that's recoverable, sometimes not. If they 
continue to leak, they have to be replaced. There's a place that rebuilds 
them, but I don't know if they do anything more than just replace the hoses.

Avoid aftermarket injectors. I've had bad luck with them. Their fuel delivery 
rate doesn't seem to be well controlled. (They don't seem to match the 
correct Bosch injectors, and may not even match each other.)
