The stock TS setup powers the dash indicators when the outside lamps are 
out. This has a very small current leveling effect on the car's electrical 
system. It would be fairly simple to hack into the bulb socket and wire each 
dash indicator to be powered WITH its outside bulbs, but this worsens the 
current draw pulses.

I thought about doing this, but discarded it as unnecessary and 
counterproductive. After all, having the inside lights flash together is 
something that VW did with all its aircooled cars. It's part of their charm.
