Vredestein used to also make a Snow+. Maybe you're thinking of that tire?

I had a set of them with studs and, frankly, I'm glad they're no longer available. When mine bit the dust, it forced me to give up using my Bug as a ski car, which frankly was a bit ridiculous in 2011 anyway ;)
