Well with the comments I feel OK with it in the tranny anyway, and really...
the 2056 in this car is running Joe gibbs Synth, as
Per Raby's instruction and im quite happy with that.

There should not be any issues using the RedLine. The transmission is
rebuilt and freshly sealed?

I built a NV4500 to put behind my Cummins 12V. The synchro are carbon fiber
lined friction rings. I used Redline MT 85 GL-4. It is the best when using
carbon fiber lined friction rings. Costly it was and seven quarts.
Transmision, coolers, and filter. Not leak and it shifts smoothly. There is
very little transmission noise.

In regard to synthetic oil. I use Amsoil in the Cummins 12V. 1993. I changed
the oil pan gasket. At 229,000 miles, the inside of the engine and pan is
clean. The cylinders still show cross hatching.

Once I rebuild my air-cooled, I will run synthetic high zinc after it is
broken in on Dino.

Fear not synthetic in a properly built engine or transmission.

I have had Royal Purple synthetic gear oil in Sophy for 20 years with no
issues.

With an obnoxiously warm day coming up I may put the Tranny and engine back
in the Square, I ordered red line MT 90 GL4 gear oil, which is a 75W90 but
noticed when pouring it in it was rather thin, and it was *ack* SYNTHETIC!

Ok, this isn't an engine, but any issues with using a synth? Will the
syncro's still work properly? I had thought that GL4 was

Dino by definition, but I guess not..

Thoughts?
