[T3] Barrett-Jackson just sold a $78K notchback!

Here is a link.  Does look good but I spotted at least 2 flaws, anybody else
notice?
I guess that’s why it didn’t make 80 grand...

See lot 536 -looks like a really nice car w/sunroof, 1830cc, webers, 4 wheel
discs, silver paint and nice interior. I would have changed the steering
wheel to a wood one and alternator, but an really nice build.

No, I did not include a link, as I don't have one. What I should have said
is I saw the VW sale on Barrett-Jackson live TV.

Actually - the sale of the car occurred in real time during a commercial,
which is why I have no details. They just did a quick shot of the car & its
sale price after the commercial.



I would guess that your guy with the beetle front end parts has a notch
where someone did that mod on purpose to have a shorter axle setup in order
to get a wider tire/wheel combo under there on a lowered car.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC that is a fairly common mod with lowered
VW's.
