I got that ride in their Polo, it would have been wigging me out more

 That is great you were able to connect up with Dave and Anne. I have
great memories of them picking me up in the RH drive Squareback and
going to a Type 3 meet-up that Dave had arranged at a local pub when I
had in England for Ford....probably close to 20 years ago. It was very
surreal riding in the front passenger seat with no controls in front
of me.

 Jill and I decided to attend the Type 34 World meet-up at the One
 Crazy Weekend VW Show in Las Vegas next weekend.

 We started the 2100+ mile trip out there today and we completed the
 first leg of our roadtrip to Las Vegas with her 67 Type 34 Karmann
 Ghia. Great weather to cruise in...didnt even need the A/C. The Ghia
 is running great. Got 26.5 mpg on the first tank full. Such a fun and
 easy car to drive.

 570 mile day planned tomorrow and the weather looks good with
 sunshine and highs in the mid-80s. Should be a good day.

 Will try to post daily update.
