2 other possible checks:
1- undo the pressure sender and put in a tee so you can truly put a guage
and measure the actual pressure as well as seeing the point that the idiot
light goes out. I have found a pressure sender that was not sending the
measure to put out the light as high as 20 psi.
2- see if the pressure reliefs are working correctly and not continually
relieving oil back to the sump. There are multiple pressure plugs &
springs, some with grooves & some that are solid and different lengths of
springs. If you don't have the correct ones in the correct locations or
ones that hang up, they will not let pressure go up to where it should be.
