Slow year for me too, processing my parents estate this winter so no radio
work. Need to move all my Type 3 parts that are in the
Shed I built back home nearly 40 years ago, finally got a new shed that ive
been meaning to build for years but never had time so I ordered
One from Lowe's. Supposed to take 3-6 weeks to get built but thats really
3-6 months so I finally got it yesterday and now we have 20" of snow coming
tomorrow that will
Bury it in for the winter. Lots to do in the spring, which looks to be a
very cold and late one again. Square doesnt need much other than the
popping out of 4th problem, but theres nothing I can do about that anyway,
Ignition switch on the Notch is acting up, wont crank, need to pull that
apart and see if I can deal with the transmission issue by double clutching
it into 2nd all the time. Too much to do, not enough time to do it.

I haven't been very busy for the past year. Late last year, I spent a few
months figuring out the problems in a half dozen 6 V horns from the early
'50s. Those were of different designs and construction, compared to the
later
12 V horns I have worked on, and they had a number of odd and hard to
understand problems, but I finally got them sorted out early this month.
2025 was my slowest year ever, which was probably a blessing since I had to
deal with all the details of Melissa's passing. I think most of those are
fixed now, but the memories remain. I'm doing fine, but life is different
now. I have a very good circle of local friends who continue to be very
supportive, and I'm grateful for all the distant support that has come from
the Type 3 community. Thanks to each of you.
