If mostly on the left side, consider the oil cooler seals.

If both sides, maybe the main crank seal, where windage blows it back along 
the bottom.

For pushrod tube seals, you should be able to get a good look from the 
bottom rear with a flashlight.

Note that oil leaks tend to wash their places clean, so the dirty areas are not 
where you'll find the problem.
