<DIV>I snipped the minute hand shaft, then I was able to work it off. The hour
hand was removed after the minute hand was removed. I then shaped the clock
kit's minute hand like the OE minute hand, and super glued them together. This
was mostly because the clock kit uses a rounded rectangle shaped opening, and
by the time you get the OE minute hand off, it'll have a round hole, that
won't lock in place. A small knurled nut holds it in place. The hour hand
fits the clock kit like it was made for it.

<DIV>I used a "long shaft" clock kit from Walmart (4.99) to do my conversions
with. I added a 3/8-16 nut for a spacer, to help set the depth of the
mechanism, and clear the clock face with the minute hand. You do have to open
the holes in the housing, back face, and tin cover to get it to work. It
doesn't need much, but a little more for it to all fit.</DIV>
