At the same time the front end of the car was slowly getting lower and lower.</div><div> Turned out that the two arms coming from the car frame...the arms that hold the axle beam...were rusting out and bending. I tried one attempt at having a welder friend rebuild as much as possible of the rusted metal, but that "cure" didn't last. The car took a couple of years to become useless. We even drove it back and forth across the country before it got too bad.<br></div><div> The car is now a parts car. Apparently there is no way to properly fix that rust problem because you'd never get the front alignment right.</div><div><br></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 16px; font-family: times new
