The only problem is the left quarter. This was another part of her that bared a scar from the mistakes from my teen years that I am paying for nearly 30 years later. This was caused from my 17 year old version of myself not getting the lugs tight enough on that wheel then when I drove it the wheel came off damaging that quarter. I had an uncle that help me smear a bunch of bondo on it repaint and went on my way. Fast forward to the end of last year when our collision and paint instructor took this quarter and the one off the parts car and tried to make one. The one off the parts car was good except down around the area where the service plug for the torsion bar (or whatever it’s called) had a good bit of rust. So he cuts this part off the original and cuts the rust one off the quarter from the parts car welds the 2 together and all is good. Until he puts a little body filler over the weld seam. Because the quarter flexes a good bit when it is not on the car it cracks. They have tried redoing this several times but the same thing happens it cracks. He really wants me to find another quarter but I just don’t have the time and resources to do that right now so he is going to try to put it on leave the vinyl beads out try to fix the crack one more time with it on the car then paint it and install the beads. Later we hope to find a better quarter then paint and replace.
