<DIV>Well, this was in the "pre-internet" days (1989). It took me a couple of
days (working by myself armed with a Bentley) to figure out the hoses
were the real problem, after checking out everything else in the brake
system. Can't complain too much, as I did get a discount on the sale price of
the car. ;-) But, it was the first time I ever ran into hoses that went bad
internally. Now I just replace them when I get a car. It's definitely
something I will always remember. : ) </DIV>
<DIV>On "domestic" vehicles, you look for cracks on the outside of the hose,
as that's how they normally go.</DIV>
