One of the options was a 300 mile round trip, and the guy was not savvy enough to even send me a picture. I was not comfortable that I was going to what was promised.<br><br>The second option was someone locally that actually has 5 type 3 auto units, but he is a bit of a cock. I would rather burn my money than give it to him. I decided that I would go to the ends of the earth before he would see my money. And it paid off...<br><br>The transmission I am getting was recently rebuilt, looks to be in great shape and is free. The person that has it took it out of his type 4 to put in a manual transmission. He had the AT behind a performance 2.4 liter and it would slip in first gear. He could not bring himself to scrap it. He decided that he would rather it go to someone. I am that someone.<br><br>So......I am going to use the auto unit of the
transmission I already have and the differential of the one I am being sent. Hopefully I get one with the 3.67 final drive. If not, I will decide what I am going to do before I put it in. You have to love free parts!<br><br>Here are some links to pictures of the one that is being sent to me and my broken one. The only thing I can see that will need to be modded is the removal of the studs on either side of the diff.
