<DIV>Just so you know, the upper trim is anodized aluminum, not stainless
steel. The lower trim piece however is stainless.</DIV>
<DIV>The aluminum upper trim can be beat back into shape, but you'll need to
remove the clear anodizing from them before you get too far along. Then you'll
need to polish them up, before you can send them out for re-anodizing. Not
many places "down under" do that, but there are a couple that will clear
anodize them for you depending on which state you're in. It won't be cheap
either. John Kanter (who lives in NZ), is going thru this right now for parts
of his 63 T-34. He's found a place to do the clear re-anodizing, with the
finished results he's after. He's even made a pair of wooden bucks for the
outside (it's more of a cradle), and an inside piece, to hold the correct
shape and width of the trim.</DIV>

<DIV>You could try and do like Mike suggested, but finding a place to do ALL
of the work could get very expensive (time is money). You might actually be
better off ordering up a set of stainless steel side trims (8 pc set) from ISP
west. I've used their SS trim on several cars now (both early and late), and
it looks beautiful (well worth the money). Also, IF it gets dented, you don't
have to worry about the anodizing, as it's stainless, and can be knocked out
from the backside. : ) I hope this helps.
